I still remember the day, it was a lovely day, a festive day, lots of snacks and sweets and lights and sound all over the place, yes its diwali day and myself and my friends were very busy out in the streets busting crackers and having fun.
All of a sudden a divine music sounds, that suddenly pulled me with great gravitation, it was not just me, it made heads turn and ears lean over to hear something new, a brand new kind of music that no body has heard till now.
We just ran inside our house to see and hear on Tv this very source of music that’s rhythm to the ears, It was the music from the film “ROJA”, one of my friend chuckled, its some new music director, some guy called A.R.Rahman, it all started that very day, and i haven’t stopped listening to his songs till date.
From then on came so many and the recent offerings being Janee tu, yuvaraaj, Ada, Slumdog and now the latest release being Delhi-6, he says its an experimental music, and it has worked for me, the very first time i listened to it, it became the 6th time, i had to sleep, that was the only reason i had to switch it off, this is one of the very few songs of ARR that i liked the very first time i heard it, strange as it seems, but that’s the truth. The maestro has proved it again, so many different notes, so many layers to the music, and am not sure if i have heard a progressive note from ARR, but this time he has done it.
Arziyan & Genda Phool are addictive
Rehna Tu is pathbreaking
Dil Gira Dafatan is my favourite and the progressive note music
In all am waiting to get home to listen to it again.
